Fri, 22 June 2007 TV networks are starting to realize that geeks are good for ratings. There already are several popular geek characters on existing TV shows. There's "Heroes", "Numb3rs", "CSI", "The Simpsons" (Lisa) and of course, "Beauty and the Geek". The numbers will more than double this fall. The networks are rolling out new shows for this fall featuring geeks. CBS has "The Big Bang Theory" about two geniuses. NBC will have "Chuck" about a computer expert with the "Nerd Herd" (think of Best Buy's Geek Squad). Women aren't left out. ABC offers "Miss/Guided", a comedy about a woman who joins the staff of the high school where she was a nerdy teen. And the CW will have "Aliens in Of course, not all the pilots that were pitched last year actually made it into production. We present the top ten rejected tv pilots aimed at geek audiences.
